Other Lives: Accordion

pic
Harvey Sollberger is currently picking-up where his studies of the accordion left-off in 1956. His repertoire includes polkas, waltzes, show tunes, folk tunes, and early and mid-twentieth-century popular music. He is also studying the Neapolitan song repertoire, and has made arrangements of Anema e core, Non ti scordar di me and Reginella which he plays and sings in Neapolitan dialect, (with hats off to his great teachers, Roberto Murolo and Massimo Ranieri, from whom he learns thanks to YouTube). He also plans to compose for the accordion, both as a solo and as an ensemble instrument.
